This was a really interesting post. I definitely connected with your idea in the first paragraph that one performer can have a significant effect on how you play. For me, I have really connected to the clarinetist Robert Frost because of his incredibly warm tone and expressive playing. In addition, I aspire to be as bold and creative in my performance choices as he is. I also really liked how you said that you can honor Kim Jonghyun’s legacy through his music. I really appreciated learning about a person who was so important to you and seeing how you keep his legacy alive.
